Call for paper: Necropoleis Research Network Meeting 2

uch1The call concerns the second edition of the Necropoleis Research Network, which was founded in Groningen (Netherlands) in January 2016, with the aim to bring together people working on any aspect of funerary archaeology in the Aegean, Eastern Mediterranean and the Near East between the Dark Ages and the Late Roman periods. The meeting will be held on 20-22 January 2017, at Süleyman Demirel University of Isparta (Turkey).

The deadline for paper proposals was November 30th, 2016, but has been postponed to December 10 (an abstract, max 15 lines, must be sent to to Prof. Bilge Hurmuzlu: bilgehurmuzlu@gmail.com).

LogoIn cooperation with the International Association for Classical Archaeology (AIAC), the Archaeological Institutes of the universities in the neighbouring cities Cologne and Bonn invite to the 19th International Congress of Classical Archaeology.

Economy is one of the main considerations in analysing the manifold material culture of the Classical World. The aim of the congress is to present and discuss new and old evidence, interpretations, theories and methods, using an economic approach which has become more and more common amongst archaeologists in the last years.

The interventions will allow the discussion and exchange of experiences on a theme increasingly felt by those working in the sector.
