The study analyses a series of bronze artefacts, mostly containers, found in graves dating back to the period ranging from 7th cent. until 3rd cent. B.C. and belonging to the indigenous populations settled in the territory of coeval Basilicata. The main scope of the paper is to draw a distinction, based inter alia on the manufacturing methodologies, among imported items (from Etruria, Greece and beyond), metallurgical objects produced by colonial poleis (particularly Sybaris and Metapontion) and by some indigenous centers.
